Thursday evening saw nine of our Old Brightonians return to the College to share their ‘Oxbridge experience’ with our current Oxbridge hopefuls.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Kuala Lumpur, it was lovely to see you all, do stay in touch!
Last Saturday saw the return of our 2005 leavers to the College, a decade on since they graduated as pupils. The group were welcomed back in Scott’s Café (or Café de Paris in 2005) with a glass of bubbles and some familiar faces in the form of Mr Grocott, Assistant Headmaster and Mr Smith (Common Room 1973-2011).
This year we welcomed Richard Cairns and Scott Sheridan to Sydney once again for an Old Brightonian supper and catch up; the third and final stop of their rather rapid tour of this side of the globe!
The first inaugural ‘Medical Conference’ took place in the Rose Lecture Theatre on the evening of Wednesday 6th of May. Over 50 Upper Fifth and Lower Sixth students were in attendance, including some from Cardinal Newman and Hove Park schools.
This year’s President’s Luncheon was held on Thursday 5th March in the wonderful surroundings of the Library at The Travellers Club, hosted here for the second year running. The Club was founded, in 1819, 'for gentlemen who had travelled out of the British Isles to a distance of at least five hundred miles from London in a direct line'.
The sun was shining as the first few intrepid OBs made their way up the stairs to find each other for Brighton Drinks on Thursday.
