Rupert Wilkinson (Ha. 2004-09) has set up a charity, the Mumbo Development Foundation.

Whilst studying African Language and Culture at SOAS Univeristy, Rupert met his business partners and became involved in a tech start up promoting drone use in agriculture. The Mumbo Development Foundation is an organisation focused on working with local communities in the Homa Bay region of Western Kenya. Its goal is to promote economic and social development, by providing opportunities for training, education and sustainable growth.

The Foundation is in the process of developing a UK/Kenya School Partnership Programme intends to promote a cultural exchange between the two schools, to improve understanding and directly challenge tropes and negative stereotypes. They want to be able to provide material support to schools, through a book and materials donation programme.
