07 November 2009 Congratulations to Rachna Metha, whose Indian wedding was held at The Brighton Dome on 7th November 2010 following a Civil ceremony on 2nd October.
18 May 2010 Old Brightonian, Rupert Wilkinson (H. 2005-09) has just completed a 510K bike ride across South West France in aid of "African Promise", and to date has raised well over £1000.00 for this tiny charity, which aims to improve primary schools in Kenya.

Rupert spent four months working in various parts of Kenya from October 2009 until February this year, as a volunteer for 'African & Asia Venture'. Whilst building school classrooms in Kasigau he met the founder and ex 'AV', twenty-four year old Charles Coldman and saw, first hand, just how much Charles has improved the learning conditions of many young village children.

On Saturday night (May 15th 2010) I will be taking part in the Moon Walk in memory of my wonderful sister Penny Lloyd, nee Allen  (F. 1979-81) who died of breast cancer aged 45 just over a year ago.

The Association is extremely proud to report that on 19th March 2010 Flight Lieutenant Marc Heal (OB. 1994-98), currently stationed at RAF Odiham in Hampshire, was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for his actions whilst on operations in Afghanistan in July 2009.

Marc is looking forward to spending more time back in Brighton since becoming a board member of Brighton and Hove Albion. He's involved in the stadium development at Falmer which promises to be incredibly exciting - long over due for Brighton. 03 February 2010 Chris started writing the poem that later became the children's book "My Daddy's Going Away..." as he returned from an intense tour of Iraq in 2007. The children's picture book then took shape over the next 2 years and illustrations were initiated by two 6th form students before being completed by a professional illustrator. The book published by is Giddy Mangoes.
17 May 2010 Old Brightonian Josie Wicks (F. 1996-01) is running and performing a stand-up comedy gig as part of the Brighton Festival Fringe... come and find out where a Brighton College education can lead!
