More than 100 people celebrated the first 10 years of Chichester House at a black tie dinner on Saturday, 16th October 2009.

Guest of Honour, Zoe Ball, entertained all with the amusing tales of her own convent education, while Head of House, Frances Gladwin gave a witty and heartfelt speech, culminating in the launch of a new charity initiative which will initially sponsor a young girl in Malawi. Guests were also serenaded by the very fine in-house string quartet, harpist and chamber choir before the ‘old’ and ‘young’ chatted the night away.

Staff from the past and present were out in force. John Spencer, now in his 11th year of being a tutor in Chichester, was very proud of his ‘off-spring’ and was joined by his fellow tutor Hilary Bainbridge (nee Rifkin) who thankfully held off giving birth to her second son that evening. More recent and tutors, Jan Osborne, Sarah Watson-Saunders, Michelle Clark, Sally Woodmansey, Becky Miller and Matthew Wiseman were all there along with current tutors, Nicola Davin, Becky Percy, Emma Rees and Joe Rowing. Special guests included OBA President, Anthony Whitestone, and his wife Alison, Fiona and John Aiken, Fr Robert, Simon Smith and, just in case they were needed, our fateful friends from the Health Centre Helen Herbert,  Kirsteen Vernon and husband Graham.
