Last month's Midnight Mass was a huge success. With a congregation numbering in the hundreds, it was a wonderful way to herald in the Yuletide season.

Fuelled with mince pies and mulled wine, families and friends (many in Christmas attire) sang hymns with great gusto, while the choir performed two communion anthems in four-part harmony.

The chaplain's sermon, interspersed with cracker jokes, centred on the Greek legend of 'Pandora's Jar' and the release of hope in the world, when division and strife were doing their worst. The retiring collection went towards the work of St Anne's Day Centre in Kemp Town.

Thank you to all of our Old Brightonians for returning to school to celebrate together.
