Many thanks to all the Old Brightonians who made the trip for our 6th form to the USA such a success.
Particular thanks to James Michael (Al. 1983-88) for his arrangements with the New York Stock Exchange and New York Drinks for OBs, Chris Browne (Le. 1965-70) for his introduction to the White House (though the trip didn't quite make it there in the end). Also many thanks to College parent Dr Belinda Giles for her introduction to Sir Harold Evans, which resulted in a wonderfully co-ordinated visit for the pupils by College teacher Ned Murray and New York Daily News Managing Editor (Pictures) OB Alexander Hitchen (Al./Ch. 1985-90). Alex sent us some really superb photographs of the event held at New York Daily News.
We are so grateful for these opportunities and for the support lent by OBs and BC parents. The 6th Form had a wonderful trip.
