Marcus Smith (Le. 2011-17) was named man of the match on Sunday 2nd June in England's 51-43 victory over the Barbarians at Twickenham.
18-year-old Smith has enjoyed a breakout season in 2017. The former Brighton College pupil joined the full-time Harlequins Academy in July 2017 after helping Harlequins' U18s to the league title in February of this year.
James Chisholm (Du.2011-13), Ross Chisholm (Du.2007-09), Marcus Smith (Le.2001-17) and Calum Waters (Le.1999-14) played for Harlequins first team in an excellent win over Worchester Warriors.
We are absolutely delighted to hear that one of our newest Old Brightonians, Marcus Smith (Le. 2011-17) will be joining the England Rugby pre-season training squad.
Brighton College pupils have achieved wonderful success both within and outside the classroom this term and one exceptional example is the 1st XV rugby team, captained by Marcus Smith (Upper Sixth, Leconfield), who are unbeaten in 24 matches.
